As parents, we all want the best for our kids, helping them discover their unique talents and interests. In this article, we’ll explore possibilities of how numerology can guide you in understanding your child better and how to help your child find their passion in life.
As a parent myself, I’ve often posed the golden question to my kids, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”
More often than not, their answers range from “I don’t know” to vague responses of being an author or a teacher, where the latter two are tied to the what (reading books) or who (being in school) they have been exposed to.
Sounds familiar?
It’s natural for parents to want their children to explore a wide range of experiences—piano lessons, swimming, karate, abacus classes, chess lessons, olympiad maths and countless other enrichment activities.
There is always something new that parents can discover to nurture their children’s growth and development.
What can we do to help our child discover their passion or purpose in life earlier?
So how can we also leverage numerology insights to understand our children better and help them unlock their potential?
The answer is in analysing their numerology chart.
Why Study Your Child’s numerology Profile?
As you study your child’s numerological profile, you will learn about the character traits associated with their numbers.
What you should find is that your child’s attitude and behaviour, as observed from your day-to-day interaction, are relatively aligned with their number vibrations.
How then, can you leverage this information?
Every number has a positive and negative vibration or characteristics. Each combination of number pairings further explains the possibilities of your child.
Naturally, we want our children to exhibit their positive characteristics as much as possible while minimising their negative side.
Hence, your first instance is to recognise which behavioural direction your child is exhibiting per the characteristics described in their numerological profile.
Doing this helps you determine an AS-IS and TO-BE roadmap, envisioning a potential best-case scenario for your child’s growth and development.
The goal of helping your child discover their passion is not to dictate their path but to understand them well enough and create opportunities for them to find their purpose.
It is possible that you are now thinking using numerology to understand your child is not really necessary, since surely, you know your own kids well enough. And that is a perfectly valid thought.
However, numerology can be perceived as simply a method to provide additional data input that helps us make decisions.
What we are doing here is to use numerology as a method to reaffirm our understanding of our child and also to explore other possibilities that we can do to help them.
It can also serve as a way to check our blind spots and highlight positive traits in our child’s behaviour that we might have overlooked.
Hence, besides using our usual observations of our children to decide how best to groom them, we are using numerology as a technique to reinforce our understanding of our children.
We are also using numerology to discover character traits that we have not yet seen in our children.
Let’s explore how we may do this using an example.
Case Example
To illustrate how we can use numerology to help our child find their passion in life, let’s use an example of a child born on 9 January 2014.
This will give rise to the following numerology chart and I will explain a few points of what we can deduce from the numbers here.
In this profile, the child is a Character Root Number 8.
Number 8 people are characterised by having boundless energy and unwavering determination. They are highly responsible individuals who exhibit boldness and a strong willingness to embrace challenges head-on.
However, on the negative side, they tend to have a strong desire for control. They can be egoistic, often focusing more on outward appearances, status, or superficial achievements.
The signature characteristic of a number 8 on the negative side is that they tends to be more stressful.
So as parents, we want to magnify their strengths (positive) and manage their weaknesses (negative).
Repetitive suggestions to inculcate positive moral values can help to reinforce the right thoughts to your child.
The number 8 vibration resonates with the numerology/” title=”Predicting and Planning Ahead with the 5 Elements in Pythagorean numerology“>Fire element in the Chinese Five Elements Theory, embodying energy, passion, and dynamism. To visualise potential paths for a Character Root Number 8 individual, here are some areas they might pursue as their passion:
- Leadership and Public-Facing Roles
(e.g. CEO, Motivational speakers) - Creative and Performance-Oriented Fields
(e.g. Artists, Event planning) - Hospitality and Services Industry
(e.g. Chef, Hotel managers, Travel agents) - Technology and Innovation
(e.g. Digital content creators, Tech entrepreneurs, Engineers) - health and Wellness
(e.g. Doctors, Fitness instructors) - Sales and Marketing
(e.g. Sales executives, Media and advertising professionals) - Industries Directly Related to Fire
(e.g. Energy sector, Jewel crafting, Lighting business)
As you can see, these fields span a broad spectrum of what a Character Root Number 8 individual can do. And even this list is just the beginning—there are countless other possibilities!
So to help your child discover their true passion in life, it is essential first to understand their innate character, as revealed through their numerology chart.
Once you have this insight, consider introducing them to some of these fields. Give them the opportunity to explore, experience, and connect with what resonates most with their natural tendencies and interests.
At a young age, we can also pay closer attention to the numbers in the first line of the inner triangle in their numerology chart.
In this example, we observe the 9-1 and 2-5 number combinations.
The 9-1 number pairing tells us that the child is weaker in socialising. They prefer to do things on their own. So as parents, we can expect that they will be more independent. But it can also mean a tendency to be a loner.
Nevertheless, solitude can provide them with opportunities to cultivate their creativity and spend more time reflecting on their aspirations.
For example, enrolling your child in public speaking or performance-related activities aligns well with career paths suitable for a Character Root Number 8 individual.
As parents, you can encourage activities that nurture their creative abilities. Consider introducing them to pursuits or experiences that align with the careers and industries listed above, allowing them to explore their potential in meaningful ways.
Let us now look at the 2-5 number combination. This number vibration provides an interesting complement to the characteristics seen in the 9-1 pairing.
A perspective of the 2-5 number pairing suggests the ability to influence and attract others. It indicates that the child has the potential to excel in areas such as public speaking.
With a strong conviction in their point of view, they can be persuasive and effective in convincing others. This characteristic is particularly valuable in leadership roles, where the ability to inspire and lead is essential.
In summary, the child has the potential to be both creative and skilled in communication.
Delving deeper into the potential revealed in this child’s numerology chart allows for a more targeted approach to identify activities and interests that align with their natural character.
This understanding helps parents nurture their child’s strengths and passions more effectively.
Additionally, it provides parents with clearer insights into the type of guidance and messaging needed to support their child’s growth, ensuring their advice resonates and empowers the child to thrive.
